New Car Replacement
If you are the first registered owner of the vehicle and it is less than 2 years old, we will replace it with a new car and pay the initial on road and registration costs.
Hire Car After Fire, Theft or Attempted Theft
If your car is stolen, we will pay up to $75 a day towards a hire for a maximum of 14 days.
Emergency Accommodation Expenses
If you have a claimable accident more than 100kms from home, we will cover your emergency accommodation up to $250 per night for a maximum of 4 nights.
Choice of Repairer
You are welcome to choose your own repairer if you have an accident. You will need to discuss guarantees on the workmanship directly with your repairer if you choose this option.
Monthly Payment at No Extra Cost
Unlike other insurers, we don’t charge you extra to pay by the month.
Lifetime Guarantee on Authorised Repairs
When we arrange for a nominated repairer to fix your car, we will guarantee the workmanship of the repair for the lifetime of the car while you own it.
Agreed Value at No Extra Cost
To give you peace of mind, we offer you the option of agreeing on the value of your car at no extra cost.
Cover for Personal Belongings
If your clothing or personal valuables are lost, damaged or stolen in a claimable incident, we have them covered up to the value of $500.
Replacing your Lost or Stolen Keys
If your keys have been lost or stolen, we will pay you up to $2000 to replace them.

Who is UbiCar?
UbiCar is here to disrupt the Australian insurance industry by giving drivers a fairer premium based on HOW they drive, not simply based on their demographics. The UbiCar app is free to use, and tracks your driving using telematics, so we can give you a driver score. UbiCar safe drivers can make substantial savings on their car insurance premiums based on their driver score. We are 100% Australian Company, and proud of it!
What is usage based insurance?
Usage based insurance is personalised car insurance based on your driving style and how your car is driven. UbiCar Insurance uses telematics to measure your driving and reward safe driving with lower premiums.
How is UbiCar different from other insurers?
If you drive well, you are less likely have an accident, so it makes sense that you should pay less for your insurance – that’s fair and that’s what UbiCar aims to deliver. We’re making sure that premiums for car insurance are fair one policy at a time.
How does it work?
The UbiCar app tracks your driving (think braking, cornering, phone distraction, acceleration and speeding) and uses that information to give you a driver score and calculate your premium. The better driver you are, the better your premium will be. The UbiCar App is free in the app stores.
How is my driving score calculated?
Your driving score reflects how safe a driver you are, ranging from 40 to 100. The higher the score, the safer the driver! The primary elements of driving behaviour that go into these calculations are your speed, harsh braking and acceleration, cornering, and mobile phone distraction. Your driving behaviour is monitored across a variety of trips to give you an average score. You can monitor your scores through your free UbiCar App.
How do I lodge a complaint?
We want you to feel like you’re being looked after every time you deal with us. But if you don’t feel we’ve handled something properly, send us an email at [email protected] or call us on 1300 UBICAR (1300 824 227) and we’ll sort it out for you. However if you’re still not happy, you can follow our Complaints process – see Important Information section in your Product Disclosure Statement for details.
Can I buy a Greenslip from UbiCar?
No, we do not sell Green-slips at this stage.
Can I purchase an annual policy?
No. Because we charge you based on how well you drive, we only offer monthly payment options. This also means your premium may vary each month.
If I rent my car to someone that drives for a platform like Uber, is it covered?
No. We do not offer coverage if you enter into a transaction with a third party to drive your car for commercial gain.
Am I covered if I drive for a platform like Deliveroo or Uber Eats?
No. Driving for a platform like Deliveroo or Uber Eats is considered a courier service and is not covered by our policy.
